The National Centre of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry (NCEAC), University of Sindh, Jamshoro, successfully completed its Four-Week Summer Internship Program 2026 during July 2026. The program provided students with an excellent opportunity to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in modern analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques. The internship was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory work. Throughout the four-week program, participating students were introduced to major areas of analytical chemistry, including Chromatography, Atomic Spectroscopy, Molecular Spectroscopy, and Electrochemistry. The students attended both theoretical sessions and practical laboratory training under the guidance of experienced faculty members and researchers of NCEAC. During the internship, students learned about the principles, instrumentation, operation, and applications of various modern analytical techniques. The practical sessions enabled them to develop laboratory skills, understand analytical procedures, handle instruments, and appreciate the importance of accurate measurements and scientific research. The closing ceremony of the Summer Internship Program 2026 was organized at NCEAC to mark the successful completion of the four-week training. Dr. Aamna Balouch, Internship Coordinator, NCEAC, delivered the welcome speech and presented a comprehensive report highlighting the activities, training sessions, practical work, and achievements of the internship program. She appreciated the active participation and enthusiasm of the interns throughout the program. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Naheed Kaka, Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Sindh, as the Chief Guest. The program was also attended by the Director, NCEAC, faculty members, senior professors, researchers, and participating interns. In their addresses, the speakers congratulated the students on successfully completing the internship and emphasized the importance of practical training, scientific curiosity, and research skills for their future academic and professional careers. As part of the closing ceremony, certificates of successful completion of the internship were distributed among the interns by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Naheed Kaka, along with the Director NCEAC and senior professors of NCEAC. The certificate distribution recognized the students' participation, commitment, and successful completion of the four-week training program. The participating students expressed their gratitude to the NCEAC administration, faculty members, researchers, and Internship Coordinator for providing them with a valuable and enriching learning experience. The Summer Internship Program 2026 reflects NCEAC's continued commitment to promoting scientific education, practical training, and research among young students and preparing them for future academic and professional careers in analytical chemistry and related fields.
