A four-day workshop titled "An Effective Analytical Approach for the Modern Era" on chromatography and spectroscopy concluded in National Center of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry, University of Sindh here on Friday. The workshop, which continued for 3 days, focused on equipping participants with cutting-edge analytical techniques, specifically chromatography and spectroscopic methods to address the evolving challenges of modern scientific research. The closing ceremony featured a welcome address by the Director of the National Center of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry Prof. Dr Syed Tufail Hussain Sherazi, who emphasized the importance of advanced analytical approaches in the modern era and highlighted the role of such workshops in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The keynote speaker and the Director, Dr. M.A. Kazi Institute of Chemistry, University of Sindh Prof. Dr Arfana Begum Mallah commended the participants for their enthusiasm and active involvement. She stressed the significance of continuous learning and staying updated with the latest analytical techniques to meet global research standards. Certificates were awarded to all participants during the ceremony, followed by a feedback and evaluation session where attendees shared their experiences and learning outcomes. Prof. Dr. Farah Naz Talpur, who delivered the closing remarks, acknowledged the contributions of facilitators and organizers and expressed hope for future collaborations. She said that the workshop not only enhanced participants' technical skills but also fostered a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange. A total of 36 final-year Inorganic Chemistry students from the Dr. M.A. Kazi Institute of Chemistry, University of Sindh, participated in the workshop alongside expert facilitators from the National Center of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry. The event concluded with a group photo and a networking session, providing participants an opportunity to build connections and explore future academic and research partnerships. The workshop was deemed a resounding success, reflecting the University’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and promoting professional development in the field of analytical chemistry.
