International conference on Sustainable Development of Nanotechnology was organized by National Center of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry, University of Sindh, Jamshoro and Department of Textile Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. It was the first ever conference in the region that focused on nanotechnology and their application in industry. The conference was held on 20th and 21st March 2023. The Summary of the conference with conclusion and recommondation is the following:

1. The international speakers from China, Italy, Poland, Japan, Korea and Turkey, whereas national speakers from Karachi, Multan, Khairpur, Tandojam, Kohat, Jamshoro, Okara and Sialkot delivered their valuable talks and shared their scientific research.
2. There were 75 presentations in all including 9 planary lectures, 16 invited lectures, 29 oral presentations and 20 poster presentations. More than 150 scholars actively participated in the conference .
3. One of the Plenary speakers from China spoke on structural colors and suggested to implement this technology in Pakistan Textile industry like China.
4. Some speakers spoke on biomedical applications of nanomaterials such as wound dressing and drug delivery carrier since they have tremendous potential to be used in Pakistan Pharma industry. By commercializing these nanomaterials, the current import of medical products of similar type can be replaced.
5. Some of the speakers from Industry urged academicians to redirect university research towards the commercial demands so that it can contribute the economic growth of the country and create value to the GDP.
6. The emerging Nanotechnology has a huge potential in Pakistan.
