Sarfaraz Ahmed Mahesar has completed his Ph.D degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Syed Tufail Hussain Shah from NCEAC, University of Sindh in Analytical Chemistry in 2011. He joined NCEAC as Lecturer in 2008 and currently working as an Associate Professor. His research interests are related to the oil and fats, synthesis of biodiesel, encapsulation and method development on FTIR, etc. During his Ph.D, he had visited the Department of Food Science, University of Bologna, Itlay and work under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Bendini and Lorenzo Cerretani. In 2012, he was a recipient of the Research Fellowship Programme for Foreign Citizens (2216) by The Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) @ Department of Food Engineering, Middle East Technical University, Turkey. He also completed three Research projects funded by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, under NRPU Program 2016-17. He has published around 90 research and review articles in peer reviewed journals and 04 chapters in scientific books. His H-index is 19 (Scopus July 2021) and 23 (Google Scholar July 2021 ). He is the Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Analytical & Environmental Chemistry and a member of the Journal of Spectroscopy editorial board
